Test ride the bike extensively, paying attention to low-speed handling, brake feel, and any unusual noises from the engine or final drive.

Inspect tires for even wear and proper date codes, and check brake pads/discs for wear, as these are significant wear items.

Examine the frame for rust, especially near welds, and check electrical connectors for corrosion, common on older bikes.
